Meet Lawyer J. Dwight Carmichael
I have been helping clients in the Hill County area resolve their legal problems since 1990. My experience as a general law practitioner has provided me a broad perspective on the diverse legal issues my clients encounter. Recently I achieved board certification in Texas family law. The Texas Board of Legal Specialization was established by the state to recognize atttorneys who do most of their work in one area of the law and meet annual requirements including continuing legal education. The practice of law is becoming so complex that attorneys who handle commercial cases or estate planning, for instance, may have difficulty staying current on the Texas Family Code.
I received a juris doctorate degree from Baylor University School of Law in 1990. My undergraduate degree is from Abilene Christian University. I have been involved as a volunteer and leader in community and church activities for many years..
